To give you some examples of just how demented these people really are, here are some quotes from their web pages.....

The reason these freaks are staging their protests at veterans' funerals is obvious.  They want national attenion, and that's exactly what the news media has given them.  While I would dearly love to personally shove their protest signs where the sun don't shine, it would only lower me to their level, and I would probably end up behind bars, which would accomplish nothing.

On December 22, 2006, the Military Funeral Demonstrations Bill became Public Law No: 109-464.  While this is a good start, I don't believe the penalty is severe enough (a fine and/or up to a year in prison).  If you agree with me, write to our lawmakers and tell them how you feel.

On October 31st, 2007, a jury awarded Albert Snyder, the father of a marine killed in Iraq, 10.9 million dollars.  Snyder sued the church and three of its members after they staged a protest at his son's funeral last year.  The defendants have said they're confident the award will be overturned on appeal.

If you do a search for "Westboro Baptist Church", "godhatesfags", or "godhatesamerica" on any of the major search engines, you'll get a huge number of hits, and you'll find that this hate group's sites rank right at the top of the search results.  This is something we can change.  Anyone can create their own web page, and with the proper use of meta tags along with registering the page with the major search engines, I believe it's possible to move the Westboro Baptist Church sites down to a lower, less noticeable position.

In summary, I feel that the Westboro Baptist Church has been dealt some damaging blows by federal and state governments and individual civil actions, but these actions alone aren't enough to stop these brainwashed fruitcakes from spreading more garbage.  New laws are in place, but they need to be ENFORCED!!!

Patriot Guard members have faithfully provided escort services to those families requesting their presence since their inception.  The members themselves remain silent and do not engage the protesters, parking their bikes between the families and the protesters to block the families view of the hate signs while they rev their bikes to a thunderous roar to drown out the shouts of hate.
